HTMers Dan Amzallag, Duncan Chiu, and Allison Clarke are currently in Switzerland representing the University of Guelph at Young Hotelier Summit, a prestigious competition that takes place annually. Each year YHS consists of three students from twenty-two different hospitality programs representing all continents. These sixty-six students are placed into six-man groups and asked to answer an industry question. Yesterday Starwood, this year's sponsor, created the groups and provided this year's project. The student groups have been asked to devise a human resource program that will be viewed as an "employer branding concept", specifically for new graduates from top Universities. Hopefully one of our students will be on a winning team this year! And for all those 3rd year students out there: YOU could be on an all-expense paid trip to Switzerland at this time next year, networking with CEOs and upper management from Starwood, Fairmont, Shangri-La, and many more!  Also, thank you to donors who support the Student Opportunities Trust, which provided partial funding for this trip.
