New Restaurant Innovation Competition Launched

HTM will be hosting the inaugural Frankie Tomatto's Restaurant Innovation competition on March 1st, 2014. A student competition to stimulate creation and development of innovative ideas and concepts broadly applicable to the restaurant industry.  Find all details on the website [1]. WIN SERIOUS CASH FOR YOUR RESTAURANT INNOVATION IDEA!!

1st Prize - $3,000!!!

2nd Prize - $1,000!!!

This is a student competition to stimulate creation and development of innovative ideas and concepts broadly applicable to the restaurant industry.  Innovations can be (but are not limited to) new service delivery systems, technology, food items, food preparation procedures, revenue management, themes or concepts.  Criteria for judging will include impact and generalization to the industry, creativity, realism, feasibility and profitability to the industry.

The award will be limited to student teams from degree-granting institutions offering hospitality and/or nutrition programs in the Province of Ontario.  Teams must consist of a minimum of 2 up to a maximum of 4 students registered in the Fall 2013 semester in a University or College offering a Hospitality or Nutrition program. To foster the inclusion of student expertise from other programs, only one (1) student from each team must be registered as a hospitality or nutrition student.

The Frankie Tomatto’s Restaurant Innovation Competition will begin on January 19th, 2014 and conclude March 1, 2014.
