Submitted by lfodor on April 9th, 2014 3:04 PM

Professor Justin Taillon has published a book chapter with Professors Jackie Dawson (University of Ottawa), Harvey Lemelin (Lakehead University), and Emilie Stewart (Lincoln University in New Zealand) titled "Last Chance Tourism: A Race to Be Last". The chapter discusses the emerging idea of "last chance tourism", which is motivation to visit a location based on the fact that it is a disappearing landscape. Examples included in the publication include the arctic due to climate change and the Ese'eja of the Amazon due to changes in culture. The book, titled "Sustainable Tourism is edited by Hughes, Weaver, and Pforr and will be available for sale later this month.
