GenYP is a new competition for hospitality students. Similar to the Young Hoteliers Summit (YHS), the event will take place annually in conjunction with HFTP’s (Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals) Annual Conference. This year the conference is being held in New Orleans’ French Quarter from October 22nd - 25th.

The conference attracts approximately 700 attendees from around the world; this includes more than 25 hospitality students from 15 invited programs. These programs include Lausanne, Cornell, Houston, Central Florida, San Jose State, and other top schools. Guelph is the only Canadian school invited to join the competition.

Each year Guelph’s HFTM School will send two students with funding to participate in the competition. These two students were selected last year from applicants. But, this year we have additional positions available! Please speak with Prof. Justin Taillon directly if you are interested in being a part of this prestigious hotelier competition.
