The Frankie Tomatto's Restaurant Innovation Competition is underway. Eight proposals have been chosen!!
Thank you to all students that have submitted proposals, this year we received twice as many as last year. All teams have now been notified and are getting ready to submit their final proposals for the February 12th deadline. It was a double-blind adjudication process, the names of the schools and team member information were removed from the proposals. Adjudicators were not known to the competitors.
The top 8 team proposals chosen (in no particular order) are from Ryerson University, Humber College and the University of Guelph.
The next stage is a live presentation to a panel of judges [1]at the University of Guelph on Feb. 21st. The top 3 teams will compete at the Restaurants Canada Show [2] in Toronto, March 2nd.
