Students Chosen to Compete at Young Hoteliers Summit

Samir and Nicole

HAFA students Samir Dewiji and Nicole Chan have been chosen as candidates to compete and represent the School/University of Guelph at the Young Hoteliers Summit [1] in Lausanne, Switzerland, March 14th - 16th, 2016.

On November 30th, six students competed for the honour of attending the summit.  Each were given a random topic at noon that day and presented a five-minute talk on the subject that evening, along with answering questions from the judges. The judges included Erin Haid, Associate Director, Talent Development - Starwood Hotels & Resorts; Mary Sardella, Director of Human Resources - Four Seasons Hotel Toronto; Emily Charczuk, Manager, Talent Development - FRHI Hotels and Resorts; and Neil Hornsby, Director Marketing and Strategic Partnerships - Best Western International.

Congratulations Samir and Nicole!  We wish you all the best in March!
