Contractor Management: Due Diligence

The University has different obligations as the “employer” of service contractors or as the constructor, or, as the “owner” of a “construction project that is under the control of a general contractor hired as a constructor. This course focuses on occupational health and safety due diligence as it relates to projects/work that fall under or cross jurisdictional boundaries of a constructor/a maintenance contractor, an owner and an employer; a number of U of G specific situations will be  presented and discussed as case examples. 

Target Audience: Employees who have authority for contracting work to a third party and/or the performance of such work.
