Some courses are focused on equine science and the equine industry, while some courses are not related to horses, but they are useful for working as an equine professional in the future. I’m confident that all information that I learned will be helpful for my life after graduation.
With opportunities including field-based learning, Co-op work terms, independent research projects, and studying abroad, this program allows students to gain life-changing experiences both inside and outside of the classroom. This degree has equipped me with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a fulfilling career, and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested in environmental remediation, climate change, and sustainability!
Jane Bellefleur, Undergraduate Student BSc Environmental Science
On his exchange to the Netherlands: "One of my favourite parts of the program is having the freedom to hop across Europe on the weekends and trying new cuisines and meeting awesome new people. I'm learning so much about sustainability and agri-food systems and can't wait to bring these insights back home to Canada."
"Agriculture is about science, technology, business, and innovation. Even if you didn't grow up on a farm, you can find your place in this industry. We need people with different skills and perspectives to tackle the challenge of feeding the world."
"I loved how the food and agri-business program combined business concepts with practical, hands-on experiences. It gave me the tools to understand the complexities of agriculture and the business side of food production, locally and globally."
