Honours

+Semester 1

One biological science course from 17-115, 65-100, 92-102.
19-104 General Chemistry I
One mathematics course from 63-100, 63-108, 63-120.
One physics course from 76-100, 76-107.
One Arts or Social Science elective.

+Semester 2

One biological science course from 65-100, 17-115, 92-102.
19-105 General Chemistry II
One mathematics course from 63-101, 63-121, 63-208.
One physics course from 76-101, 76-108.
One elective.

+Students who have completed the MPC2 program in first year will have satisfied the requirement to do 19-104, 19-105, 27-150, 27-160, , 63-120, 63-121 (or 63-100, 63-101 or 63-108, 63-208), 76-100, 76-101 (or 76-107, 76-108 or 76-111, 76-113).

Semester 3 to 8

5 courses in each semester including 4 science courses.

Honours Physical Science (With a Minor)

The requirements and schedules are the same as for Honours Physical Science. Minor subjects which can be taken are biochemistry, biophysics, biotechnology, chemistry, computing and information science, geology, physics, mathematics, statistics, mathematical science, and business administration. Details of specific course requirements are given after the specialized programs in the respective subjects where appropriate. A minor in another subject area not here listed may be taken with the approval of the deans concerned. Subject to the approval of the dean of the college in which the student is enrolled, the total science requirement may be reduced to 28 courses in order to permit a student to take a minor in a humanities or social science area.

The Total Requirements for the Honours Physical Science Program are as follows:

*Approved course lists are available in the Dean's Office, College of Physical and Engineering Science.

At least 12 of the science courses must be at the 300 or 400 level.

Honours Major Program (With or Without a Minor)

The recommended courses for semesters 1 and 2 and the total course requirements are the same as for the Honours Physical Science program.

Major programs are available in biochemistry, chemistry, mathematics, physics, and statistics. Details of the specific course requirements of the major are given after the specialized program in the respective subject.
