A 70% average in the science courses of semesters 1 and 2 is normally required for admission to semester 3 of this program.
+Students who have completed the MPC2 program in first year will have satisfied the requirement to do 19-104, 19-105, 27-150, 27-160, 27-170, 63-120, 63-121 (or 63-100, 63-101 or 63-108, 63-208), 76-100, 76-101 (or 76-107, 76-108 or 76-111, 76-113).
*One elective.
One additional Chemistry or Biochemistry course at the 300 or 400 level must be taken at any time in the 6th to 8th semester.

Note: The recommended courses for semesters 1 to 8 and the total course requirements are the same as for the Honours Physical Science program.
A major in Biochemistry requires the following courses: 19-104, 19-105, 19-206, 19-240 or 19-248, 19-258, 19-270, 19-282, 19-356, 19-357, 19-375, 40-202, and 5 other courses offered by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the 300 or 400 level, including at least 2 from 19-452, 19-454, 19-455, 19-457, 19-458,19-463. The Physics requirement of the major in Biochemistry should be met by 76-100 and 76-101. A total of 4 Physical Science courses must be at the 400 level to meet the requirements of the B.Sc. Honours Physical Science program.
A minor in Biochemistry requires the following courses: 19-104, 19-105, 19-240 or 19-248, 19-282 or 19-288, 19-258, 19-356 or 19-357, two 400 level courses in Biochemistry and 2 other courses offered by the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry.
