University of Guelph Honours and Awards Calendar

The University of Guelph Honours and Awards Calendar highlights selected major research honours and awards for which the Research Services Office provides institutional nomination and/or nomination support. The calendar is not a comprehensive list of all honours and awards available to U of G researchers.

Honours and awards included in the calendar generally meet one or more of the following criteria:

• a limited number of nominations are permitted from an institution; and/or
• an institutional nomination is required; and/or
• the candidate wishes to have the U of G Vice-President, Research and Innovation (VPRI) serve as their nominator.

Honours and awards in the calendar are organized according to three internal deadlines: April 1, June 1, and December 1. Candidates seeking VPRI nomination for a listed award are required to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) by the applicable internal deadline.

How to seek nomination/support

1. Inform your College Research Manager of your interest in the award.
2. Prepare an Expression of Interest (EOI) according to the Expression of Interest guidelines.
3. Submit your completed EOI and CV to kkariyap@uoguelph.ca, copying your College Research Manager, by the applicable internal deadline.

All EOIs are reviewed by the Major Research Honours and Awards Advisory Committee. The Committee advises the VPRI on the competitiveness and alignment of potential nominations with the award criteria and provides constructive feedback to strengthen applications.
