Description
This program has been designed to extend the CCSRI funding pipeline by filling the gap between Innovation and Impact Grants. This limited 2nd phase of funding is available to build upon significant findings from a successful Innovation Grant. Applicants are cautioned to carefully review the full description for details on the limited eligibility for this funding opportunity.
Innovation to Impact Grants (i2I) are intended to support the further development of successful findings based on the goals originally explored through a CCSRI Innovation Grant. Therefore, only investigators with a funded Innovation Grant are eligible for this program.
Eligibility
An applicant must hold a firm academic position (as a primary appointment). The person named as the PI remains the PI on a grant for the duration of the grant unless given express permission by the Canadian Cancer Society.
Funding Availability
There is one competition tentatively planned for funding in 2018. Grant budgets may be up to $150,000 per year with a maximum of three years of funding. It is expected that up to 10 grants will be awarded. Grants will be non-renewable.
Indirect Costs
0%
Special Notes
There must not be substantial overlap (i.e. more than 50%) with any pending application (including those at the abstract or Letter of Intent submission stage) to any other CCSRI program as of this competition due date. Duplicate applications will not be accepted. The onus is on the applicant to indicate the extent (or absence) of overlap. Grantees can accept funds from other sources, up to the CCSRI panel recommended amount in cases where the panel approved amount exceeds the annual funding limit.
