Led by: Sarah Overington, Deputy Director, Research Grants, Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC)
This session will focus on the consideration of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) to enhance research excellence. It will address EDI in research teams and research methodology, design and questions; the changes required to enhance EDI in research and innovation; and the strategies and tools that the Tri-Agency is employing to address persistent barriers embedded in research cultures and systems.
At the end of this session, participants will leave with practical suggestions for addressing EDI in grant applications and implementing EDI within their research programs. This session will be broadly applicable to the natural sciences and engineering disciplines.
