Description
Mitacs, the federal/provincial funding agency for student internships, has issued a statement to its Ontario-based partners indicating that it will be pausing its Ontario submissions due to uncertainties around reconciling demand for Mitacs support and availability of that support.
University of Guelph is a full academic partner with Mitacs. We are awaiting further details about the implications of this pause for University of Guelph — our researchers, partners, and students. Mitacs will be providing U of G with a detailed breakdown of the projects affected by the pause in due course. Importantly, Mitacs will honour all internships announced as part of its additional support to researchers affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
