The Office of Research Services is ushering in the new year with a new unit name.
Office of Research Services (ORS) will be known as Research Services Office (RSO).
This change is being made to emphasize the role of the unit first and foremost — Research Services. It speaks to the primary emphasis of being client focused and supportive of the research community.
A team is working on updating the name on the Office of Research website and in documentation and materials, with much of the work completed by February 1, 2023.
Effective the date of this communication, please start to use Research Services Office in place of ORS in any new materials, publications, websites etc you produce.
As this is not a legal name change, past proposals and agreements will not be updated. However, amendments to agreements and new proposals and agreements are to include the new name.
