The Niagara Peninsula Fruit & Vegetable Growers’ Association​ Research and Service Proposals 


The Niagara Peninsula Fruit & Vegetable Growers’ Association (NPF&VGA) invites submissions of research or service proposals commencing in 2020.  Projects are to benefit the grape, fruit and vegetable industries in Niagara and may be single or multi-year in length. The research priorities are:

  1. Plant Protection
  2. Production Efficiency
  3. Environmental/Ecosystem Impact 
  4. Product Quality Improvement
  5. Product Diversification
  6. Genetic Technologies and Reproductive Technologies

Funding Availability

The budget for 2020 is set at $35,000 and will be disbursed as required to fund all approved projects.  For this reason, funding support from NPF & VGA is generally used as seed money for other grants. All approved projects are contingent on applicant(s) receiving matching funding, if required, and submitting proof thereof.

External Deadline

A “Summary of Project and Goals outline” is attached, along with a fillable application form. The total proposal should not exceed 7 pages including the Summary.  Send complete applications electronically to by 5:00pm on Friday, December 6, 2019.  Late proposals will not be accepted.  NPF&VGA will review all requests and notify applicants of the results in early February, 2020.
