The Niagara Peninsula Fruit & Vegetable Growers’ Association Research and Service Proposals
The Niagara Peninsula Fruit & Vegetable Growers’ Association (NPF&VGA) invites submissions of research or service proposals commencing in 2020. Projects are to benefit the grape, fruit and vegetable industries in Niagara and may be single or multi-year in length. The research priorities are:
- Plant Protection
- Production Efficiency
- Environmental/Ecosystem Impact
- Product Quality Improvement
- Product Diversification
- Genetic Technologies and Reproductive Technologies
Please see attachments for further information on the particulars and research priorities.
The budget for 2020 is set at $35,000 and will be disbursed as required to fund all approved projects. For this reason, funding support from NPF & VGA is generally used as seed money for other grants. All approved projects are contingent on applicant(s) receiving matching funding, if required, and submitting proof thereof.
If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.
A “Summary of Project and Goals outline” is attached, along with a fillable application form. The total proposal should not exceed 7 pages including the Summary. Send complete applications electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org by 5:00pm on Friday, December 6, 2019. Late proposals will not be accepted. NPF&VGA will review all requests and notify applicants of the results in early February, 2020.
