Ontario Sheep Farmers (OSF)
Ontario Sheep Farmers (OSF) invites researchers to submit a Letter of Intent for research projects that align with Ontario Sheep’s Research Priorities.
The Ontario Sheep Farmer's research committee will review and rank projects based on the following criteria:
- Ability to fall within current OSMA priorities. If your project addresses more than one priority this will be noted.
- Ability to leverage funds. Projects with other funding partners will ranked higher than projects asking OSMA for the full amount of funds. The more leveraged dollars you can achieve the better.
- Ability to communicate your research results and conclusions. Knowledge transfer to producers is of utmost importance. Mandatory activities include articles in the Ontario Sheep News Magazine, fact sheets, report for producers and a report for the OSMA Board. Other communication activities include presentations at producer events, articles in agricultural press, etc. Please note: if you fail to provide communication material you might be at risk of losing funding or not receiving funding in the future.
Up to $80,000 is available for this call.
Maximum Project Value
There is no minimum or maximum limit to the amount of funds a PI can request for a research project.
There is no limitation to the length or duration of a project funded through OSF’s research program.
If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.
