Description

A number of funding opportunities exist for research focused on Parkinson’s disease. Information on the individual funding opportunities can be found on the Parkinson Canada Research Application Site.

All applicants are encouraged to read the application guidelines.

Eligibility

Funding opportunities are available for faculty researchers and independent researchers from a broad spectrum of health-related communities and sectors. Please see each individual funding opportunity for its eligibility.

Maximum Project Value

$40,000 to $50,000 depending on the funding opportunity

Project Duration

One to two years depending on the funding opportunity

Internal Deadline

Applicant submits a copy of the full application and signature page along with a complete OR5 form to research.services@uoguelph.ca 

Applicants should refer to each of the Guidelines and Requests for Applications pertaining to the categories of award in which they are interested.

External Deadline

Applicant to submit application with the required signatures digitally using the Parkinson Canada online application system.

How to apply

1.   To create an application, a FluidReview account is required.
2.   Register or Sign In.
3.   Once you have logged in, click on the “View Awards” button and you will be directed to a menu of available awards.
4.   Click on the "Apply Now" button beside the appropriate application.  
5.   Complete the forms and requests and click “submit”

Information For Co-applicants

If you need to meet a deadline set by the lead institution for this opportunity, please ensure that you provide the Office of Research with at least five days in advance of the lead institution’s deadline to review the application, or your proposed component of the project. Please be in touch with the Office of Research (contact information below) ahead of the deadline if it looks like it will be difficult for you to submit all the required documentation on time (i.e. budget, proposal, OR-5 Form).
