Description

The University of Guelph invites expressions of interest (EoI)s and/or recommendations for nominations to the Royal Society of Canada New Scholars.  The Royal Society of Canada seeks scholars who are "at an early stage in their career, have demonstrated a high level of achievement.  The criteria for election is excellence, and membership is for seven years.".  EoIs/recommendations will be first adjudicated within the College so interested faculty (or faculty wishing to nominate a colleague) should contact their Associate Dean, Research or College Research Manager regarding College selection process and deadlines.  Each College may put forward two recommendations for nomination.  The University will submit up to three nominations to the Royal Society of Canada on December 1, 2018.

Eligibility

  1. Nominees must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident at the time of nomination
  2. Candidates must be no more than 15 years from the conferral of the PhD or equivalent qualification.
