The University of Guelph has posted “The REB at the University of Guelph: Recommendations for a Process in Crisis,” a report which details challenges with the REB approval process at the U of G and offers strategies and recommendations to improve it.
The report was developed by a working group in consultation with U of G researchers through a survey and interviews and focus groups with stakeholders and key informants.
The Office of Research is currently reviewing these recommendations and consulting with stakeholders to respond to the report and develop implementation strategies given challenging financial circumstances. The first response the Office of Research is undertaking is the implementation and sustainment of an enterprise-wide software solution.
