Finding Matching Partners in Canadian/Indian Institutions: SICI strongly advises all potential applicants that it is their responsibility to find the right partner in another country. In order to find potential matching partners/faculty members in Canadian/Indian member universities, the applicants are strongly advised to visit the websites of preferred Canadian/Indian universities to contact ONLY the appropriate faculty members of desired schools/departments and write to them directly expressing the necessary background of your proposal and partnership interests. We strongly advise all potential applicants to refrain from sending generic e-mail requests to SICI officers or its executive council members or mass e-mailing many other recipients seeking their help to find you a partner, because it could be counterproductive and may hamper their efforts in finding a correct partner.
Applicants are also advised to approach potential partners well in time so that they can submit a well-prepared application after consultation with their partner.
If College-level review is required, your College will communicate its earlier internal deadlines.
Please submit a signed OR-5 and complete application package, clearly indicating the program you are applying for, to email@example.com.
Please note that some programs currently have 'open' deadlines, so an OR-5 and application package must be submitted one-week prior to the intended submission date to SICI. If a program deadline changes or a program with an 'open' deadline has a hard deadline set, the OR-5 form and application package must be submitted to the Office of Research Services a minimum of one week prior to the deadline set by SICI.
Please submit the complete application package directly to the Shastri Institute online through the Grant Management System, or as otherwise stated (see specific program details for instructions on how to apply). Please take note of specific program deadlines in order to plan accordingly.
How to Apply
The details of each program are available on the SICI Website. Please refer to the each individual program for instructions on how to apply.
Information For Co-applicants
If you need to meet a deadline set by the lead institution for this opportunity, please ensure that you provide the Office of Research with at least five days in advance of the lead institution’s deadline to review the application, or your proposed component of the project. Please be in touch with the Office of Research (contact information below) ahead of the deadline if it looks like it will be difficult for you to submit all the required documentation on time (i.e. budget, proposal, OR-5 Form).
