Wednesday November 20, 2019 1:30pm to 2:30pm
SOSCIP (formerly Southern Ontario Smart Computing for Innovation Platform) is a collaborative consortium that connects Ontario’s research-intensive post-secondary institutions, IBM Canada Ltd., Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE) and dozens of small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the province.
SOSCIP supports researchers from a wide array of disciplines by providing access to advanced computing resources, big data analytics, and expertise not available anywhere else in Canada. (https://www.soscip.org/who-we-are/)
Please join us on Wednesday, November 20th, 2019 from 1:30am to 2:30 pm in UC # 332 for an information session provided by Andrew Jones, Manager, Operations and Partnership with SOSCIP. Andrew will provide an overview of SOSCIPs current platform capabilities and discuss how University of Guelph faculty can access SOSCIP resources to advance their research work. Andrew will be available after the presentation to answer questions and consult on project ideas.
If faculty would like to meet with Andrew one-on-one, this may be arranged after 2:30pm that day. Please RSVP your attendance to Gregor Lawson (email@example.com) by November 15th, 2019 and indicate if you would like to arrange for a one-on-one meeting.
