Survey of Research Data Management Practices at U of G

In Canada, the Tri-Agency Statement of Principles on Digital Data Management promotes digital data management practices and data stewardship through its Research Data Management (RDM) Policy. As part of this policy, the University of Guelph will be required to have a publicly available RDM institutional strategy by March 1, 2023.

The University of Guelph Research Data Management (RDM) Strategy Working Group is seeking input from the research community through an Assessing Current Research Data Management (RDM) Practices of U of G Researchers survey to gather information on the current RDM practices of U of G researchers. The information gathered through this survey will assist the Working Group to summarize the current state of RDM, inform the development of additional RDM supports and resources and create the RDM institutional strategy.

In order to ensure as many people as possible can contribute, the survey deadline has been extended to November 16, 2022

The survey is anonymous and takes between 15 to 20 minutes to complete. A report summarizing the aggregate survey results will be shared publicly with the research community soon after the survey closes.

For more information about the Working Group and the Strategy requirements, see the University of Guelph RDM Strategy website.
