Description

The Office of Research Services is hosting a group viewing of the CIHR Environments and Health: Intersectoral Prevention Research: Team Grant webinar followed by a discussion group on Thursday September 3, 1:00-3:30 pm (Johnston Hall, Room 104).

The CIHR Environments and Health: Intersectoral Prevention Research: Team Grant opportunity has been identified as a competition in which the U of G might have a strategic advantage based on the nexus areas identified for the competition: agri-food, resource development and urban form. The Office of Research Services invites interested team leaders/applicants, college research managers and associate deans to explore the opportunity and how the U of G might best prepare Letters of Intent in the competition.

Some additional resources regarding the competition are:

  • Full funding opportunity information in ResearchNet
  • CIHR's Environments & Health Signature Initiative - overview which outlines the nexus areas in more detail

If you'd like to attend, please RSVP to Patti Minakis (pminakis@uoguelph.ca) by Wednesday August 26.

What is Research Alerts?

Research Alerts is a communications technology that allows UoG faculty, staff and students to stay up to date on news from the Office of Research. Through Research Alerts, subscribers receive emails related to research funding opportunities, workshops and events, policies and more. Each subscriber sets individual preferences to indicate the topics and categories of information that are of interest to them. When a message (Alert) is published in the Office of Research that matches the subscriber's selected preference categories and topics, it is e-mailed directly to the subscriber. Because this is a web-based technology, the Research Alerts site can also be searched using the search fields, or browsed through the topics by category.
