How high should you aim when submitting your paper for publication? What should your cover letter say? How long should you wait before contacting the editor to enquire about your submission? What should you do when the referee's report completely misses the point of your paper? How do you find a publisher for your book?  Is writing a book chapter a good use of your time? What are my options for meeting the Tri-Agency requirements to make my journal article available open access?

These and other practical questions will be discussed in this seminar.

No reservation necessary.

All welcome!

What is Research Alerts?

Research Alerts is a communications technology that allows UoG faculty, staff and students to stay up to date on news from the Office of Research. Through Research Alerts, subscribers receive emails related to research funding opportunities, workshops and events, policies and more. Each subscriber sets individual preferences to indicate the topics and categories of information that are of interest to them. When a message (Alert) is published in the Office of Research that matches the subscriber's selected preference categories and topics, it is e-mailed directly to the subscriber. Because this is a web-based technology, the Research Alerts site can also be searched using the search fields, or browsed through the topics by category.
