Description
Mitacs welcomes nominations for 5th Annual Mitacs Awards, a series of honors that recognize outstanding students and professors who participated in the Mitacs Accelerate, Elevate and Globalink programs.
Eligibility
Students, postdoctoral fellows (past or present), and professors who have participated in the Mitacs Acclerate, Elevate, or Globalink programs are eligible for nomination. Students and postdoctoral fellows may be nominated for a Mitacs Award in the following ways:
- By the academic supervisor who supervised their work during the Mitacs-funded project; or
- By the industry supervisor who supervised their work during the Mitacs-funded project (for Accelerate or Elevate project nominees).
Professors may be nominated for the Mitacs Award for Exceptional Leadership by one of:
- The industrial partner
- The academic co-investigators; or
- The interns involved in the Mitacs funded project on which they worked together
Because of the nature of this award, it is expected that several individuals may contribute to the preparation of a nomination submission. One person should act as the lead in this process so that a single nomination is submitted on behalf of the professor.
Funding Availability
Award winners will receive a $500 cash prize.

How to Apply
Intern and fellow award Nominations: Nominees submit online using the intern nomination form and include a CV of the nominee with your submission. Note that Student and fellows may be nominated for more than one award.
Professor Award Nominations: Nominee submits the online professor nomination form and include the CV of the nominee and all letters of support with the submission.
