Description

Biomedical Research Grants provide financial support to medical researchers to assist in defraying the operating costs of research, which may include the purchase of materials, supplies and equipment and the payment of laboratory assistants.

Eligibility

Faculty - Though applicants at all stages of their research career are eligible for funding, The Kidney Foundation wishes to give priority to new investigators in the field of kidney research. 

Funding Availability

Max $50,000/yr – Research must be carried out in Canada.

Project Duration

up to 3 years

Special Notes

Special notes: A Nominated Principal Applicant, Principal Applicant or Co-Applicant may not hold more than one (1) Biomedical Research Grant per year from The Kidney Foundation as an award.

All Nominated Principal Applicants, Principal Applicants and Co-Applicants need to submit the “Funding Overlap Declaration” for all Funds

The applicant must submit a completed registration form by email to elisabeth.fowler@kidney.ca  

The page limit will be reduced to a maximum of 10 pages (including figures and graphs).
