Update (Aug 7, 2015): 
The OMHF is in discussions with the Ministry of Health concerning the amount of funding the foundation will receive to support research grants, fellowships & studentships.  Depending on the outcome of those discussions, the OMHF may suspend or limit any or all of the competitions. We will post updates on this situation as they become available.

Two types of grant are available:

Type A: Research Project Grants (2 years)

The grant period will be determined by the Foundation and specified in the letters of notification.

Type B: Research Project Grants (up to 4 years)

Principal investigators who have been funded by the Foundation for at least four consecutive years in a particular line of research at the time of application, and who can show the need to continue that line of research may apply for support for up to four additional years, through a type B grant.

Eligibility

Faculty – Permanent Resident or Canadian Citizen

Funding Availability

Maximum $75,000 per year.

Indirect Costs

0%

Special Notes

Under no circumstances may any person simultaneously apply for or hold more than one OMHF-funded grant (type A or B) as a principal investigator.  OMHF uses the Common CV.
