Application Information

Description

The Agricultural Adaptation Council (AAC) is issuing the $1 million Greenhouse Renewable Energy Technologies (GRET) R&D Initiative call for proposals to support innovative research and development projects that focus on renewable energy technologies for the Ontario greenhouse sector. The projects results should benefit commercial greenhouse businesses that grow or propagate vegetables, fruit, culinary herbs, or floriculture.

The objective of this initiative is to test renewable energy technologies with a potential for future integration into greenhouse production in Ontario and reduction of greenhouse gas emissions in the sector. The initiative will also identify and evaluate technologies for feasibility within a greenhouse production system, promoting innovation to develop more clean-technology processes and products.
