Liquid gold

A bumble bee queen sips on liquid gold AKA nectar from a patch of dandelions. The nectar will provide much needed energy to fly about and find a nest site. This queen bumble bee is fitted with a radio tag to track her movements in our study looking at the impacts of pesticides on bumble bee movement.
