U of G Research Finds Poor Mental Health in Medicine About More Than Just Doctors and Nurse

A University of Guelph study led by Dr. Basem Gohar [1] reviewed 16 studies to assess the pandemic’s impact on medical lab professionals and therapists. The team found widespread negative mental health outcomes, including burnout, depression, and anxiety, across all occupational groups examined. Researchers initially screened nearly 9,000 articles before narrowing down to those meeting the criteria for detailed analysis.
