University of Guelph researchers have received more than $7.86 million in federal funding to advance studies ranging from antimicrobial resistance and visual distraction to animal behaviour and nuclear physics. This support includes $4.8 million from the Canada Research Chairs [1] program, over $2.9 million in new NSERC [2] funding through Discovery [3] and Subatomic Physics [4] grants, and Research Tools and Instruments [5] grants. An additional $150,000 was awarded through the Canada Foundation for Innovation [6]’s John R. Evans Leaders Fund [7].
