Gryph Mail Spam Control Implementation

On Tuesday, Dec. 22 during the normal morning maintenance window (6 AM to 8 AM), CCS will activate an automated spam control utility. This tool, developed and tested in-house, will restrict spammers' ability to steal university computing  resources and will prevent damage to our internet reputation.

Once activated, accounts generating excessive email will be blocked from further sending until the issue is resolved. The ability to receive email will not be affected in any way. Care has also been taken to profile legitimate email usage so that no adverse impacts are expected.
