DHCP Requests
CCS maintains a campus wide DHCP service which many departments depend upon to manage the assignment of IP addresses to computers in labs, classrooms and offices.
These reserved IP addresses can be requested by the department’s IT Admininstrator. Before submitting the request please have the following information:
- The subnet currently on central DHCP service. This can be done by providing a sample IP address and network mask from the same location (building/room).
- The MAC addresses of the hosts on the subnet.
- Any special requirements in the DHCP request.
- If a DNS entry is required, please submit a DNS request after the DHCP request is finished.
IT Administrators can use the online application DNS/DHCP Panel or contact the CCS Help Centre to submit the request. Please be aware that normal DNS/DHCP request needs 1 to 2 business days to be finished.
DNS/DHCP Panel
DNS/DHCP Panel is a web application for Departmental IT Administrators only and allows them to submit DNS and DHCP requests. If you need access to this application, please contact the CCS Help Centre.
