Step-by-Step Tutoral

  1. After logging in via the web, you will be redirected to the NAC Agent download page for the one-time download of the NAC Agent installation file.
  2. Click on the Launch Cisco NAC Windows Agent button
  3. Cisco NAC Agent - InstallShield Wizard starts
  4. Click Next on the Welcome to the InstallShield Wizard for Cisco NAC Agent dialog
  5. Accept the terms in the license agreement
  6. Choose the Setup Type (Complete) and click Next.
  7. Click Install to install the NAC Agent to C:\Program Files\Cisco Systems\Cisco NAC Agent and add a desktop shortcut:
  8. Click Finish.
  9. The NAC Agent login dialog pops up and the NAC Agent taskbar icon ()appears in the system tray.NAC Agent Login ScreenshotNAC Agent Login Screenshot
  10. Type your Central Login ID and Password and click Login.
  11. You may see the dialog box to install the compliance module. The compliance module contains the bug fixes and the support for the latest anti-virus products. Click OK to install the compliance module.

  12. If your login and validation is successful, you should see the following screen

If however your computer is missing one or more requirements to get full access with the NAC Agent, please see Troubleshooting the NAC Agent.

If you require internet access while attempting to get full access, you can click Get Limited Network Access which would allow you to view HTTP and HTTPS webpages but you will not be able to:

  • play online games
  • use file sharing programs
  • use any non-web based email client, e.g. Outlook Express, Eudora
