July 05, 2006 - In the News

Research by food science professor Keith Warriner is featured in the Globe and Mail, on CBC radio, on CTV news, in the Toronto Star and in papers across the country in an article distributed by the Canadian Press.

The articles and broadcasts highlight Warriner's beakthrough in finding a safe, effective way to decontaminate seeds used to produce bean sprouts, alfalfa sprouts and other types of sprouts – culprits in several Salmonella and E. coli O157:H7 outbreaks around the world.
