Feedback Sought on Undergraduate Learning Experience

March 15, 2007 - Campus Bulletin

Draft reports of the University’s 21st Century Curriculum Steering Committee, which explore ways to enhance the undergraduate learning experience, are now available online.

The 21st-Century committee is made up of students, faculty and staff who represent every college and various units across campus. It was charged with helping engage the University community in the evaluation of undergraduate education.

The committee was divided into four working groups that discussed curriculum-based initiatives and formulated recommendations in the following areas: teaching-research link, organizational processes, first-year experience, and transformative teaching and learning innovations.

The draft reports are now available online for review and feedback. Members of the University community are being invited to read the reports and to give comments and recommendations for the next two weeks.

The groups will review and discuss the feedback and where appropriate, include the suggestions into the reports that will be presented to Senate in April.
