The University of Guelph's women's field hockey team won the silver medal at the Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) championships Sunday in Toronto. The Gryphons lost in overtime 1-0 to the University of Toronto. It was the first all-Ontario final since 1986.

An estimated 1,000 U of G fans attended the event. The Gryphons will now play for the 100th Yates Cup in the OUA finals against the University of Western Ontario. The game is Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. at Guelph's Alumni Stadium. It's the team's first trip to the OUA finals since 1996.

Tickets for the 100th Yates Cup are now available at the Gryphons box office. The game will be broadcast live on The Score network.
