Bioproducts Centre to Be on National TV News

May 17, 2010 - In the News

The University of Guelph's Bioproducts Discovery and Development Centre (BDDC) is scheduled to be featured on Global News Hour Monday night.
The BDDC is supported by the University's partnership with the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs.

Researchers at the BDDC are investigating ways to use waste from agricultural products, such as corn stalks, soybean hauls and switchgrass to create consumer products, car parts and renewable fuels. The goal is to produce greener bioproducts to substitute non-renewable materials in many manufacturing sectors, consumer goods and services.

The story will air between 6 and 6:30 p.m. and again between 11 and 11:30 p.m. on Channel 3 in Guelph.
