OVC professor David Waltner-Toews was featured on CBC's The National Tuesday discussing concerns about radiation in food in connection with the recent disaster in Japan.

The population medicine professor is an expert in the epidemiology of food and waterborne diseases, zoonoses and ecosystem health. He has also published a number of books, including Food, Sex and Salmonella, which contains a chapter focused on how radioactive contaminants behave in the food chain, based on the long-term experiences from Chernobyl.
