U of G to Host Author Margaret Atwood

Celebrated Canadian author Margaret Atwood will speak at the University of Guelph Wednesday. Her visit is part of the Café Philosophique Lecture Series, hosted by the College of Arts and the Bookshelf.

Atwood will speak at 8 p.m. in War Memorial Hall. She has written more than 40 books, including novels, short stories, poetry, literary criticism, social history and books for children. Her Guelph visit is part of a book tour for her latest novel, MaddAddam, the final volume in a trilogy.

Catherine Bush, novelist and co-ordinator of U of G’s creative writing master of fine arts, will also speak at the event.

Tickets are $10 or $8 for students, and can be purchased in advance at the Bookshelf, or at the door.
