An OVC professor is in the news this week for his research aimed at developing a non-surgical alternative for sterilizing shelter animals.

Jonathan LaMarre, Department of Biomedical Sciences, will be on CBC radio’s Ontario Morning show Tuesday at 8:20 a.m. Feb. 23 he will be on the CTV show ProvinceWide with Daiene Vernile. The program is broadcast Sundays on CTV Kitchener at 6:30 p.m. He was interviewed Jan. 30 by the Morning Edition on CBC radio’s Kitchener-Waterloo station.

A professor in the LaMarre recently received a $260,000 Michelson Grant in Reproductive Biology from the Found Animals Foundation. The grant supports his work that aims to target and disrupt small RNA pathways that control the development of sperm cells and egg cells in dogs and cats.
