Established by the Scandrett family to further diversity within the veterinary profession, and veterinary capacity and food security within the Indigenous community. Apply in the Fall during the call for applications from the Dean's office with a cover letter that includes a resume, and a letter of reference from a supervisor detailing volunteer experience. Applicants are required to confirm their First Nations, Inuit or Métis identity by completing the Indigenous Identity Confirmation Process for Students. Selection will be based on demonstrated leadership as evidenced by volunteer activities related to working with wildlife or related to wildlife health.

Indigneous (First Nations, Inuit and Métis) students registered in the Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) program who have demonstrated volunteer experience working with wildlife or related wildlife health. Preference for students with volunteer experience pertaining to North American wildlife.
