Building Renovations

Peter Clark Hall - Summer 2017:
The partioned side rooms (wings) of Peter Clark Hall will be renovated starting June 23rd to enhance the space and provide flexible meeting solutions to hold events and meetings separate from the main hall activities. The scope of work includes new flooring, lighting, ceiling and dividing wall partions as well as repainting. The main hall will have new refinished flooring with this project.

OVC Centennial Multipurpose Lounge - Spring & Summer 2017:
The former Meeting Room UC103 will be transformed into an open concept, multi-purposed lounge area suitable for casual group meetings, individual and group studying, event hosting, and everyday relaxed seating. The lounge will provide a large amount of natural lighting, uniquely appointed atmosphere, and a variety of seating solutions.

New OVC Centennial Multipurpose Lounge

Main Floor Public Washrooms - Spring & Summer 2017:

The construction of the new OVC Centennial Lounge will include the addition of modernized public washrooms located in the former UC Variety location next to the ATM Machines. The expanded space will include a separate Mens, Womens, and Universal washroom fitted with eco-friendly fixtures and well-appointed designs to meet the regular traffic flow of the University Centre Main Level.

CSA Clubs Space Project - Summer 2017:
The CSA Clubs Space on Level 2 of the University Centre will be transformed into a new, highly functional space with full storage capacity for all clubs, open group and individual study areas, an open concept clubs commons overlooking Branion Plaza, a variety of small, medium and large group meeting spaces, and updated washroom facilities. The plan aims to accommodate the 120+ undergraduate student clubs accredited under CSA.

Quiet Study Seating - April 2017:
The University Centre, with the gracious support of the Student Life Enhancement Fund (SLEF) and the CSA, will be installing new individual quiet study workstations in various area corridors starting with spaces on Level 2 & 4. Maximizing space for this purpose will provide much needed space areas for students while taking advantage of otherwise unusable space in the University Centre. Additional locations are planned for 2018 and beyond.

Level 4 Meeting Rooms - Summer 2017:
Meeting Rooms UC442, UC429, UC430 & UC431 will be modernized with new LED lighting, ceilings, refreshed walls, large ditigal presentation screens, integrated audio system (UC442), enhanced furniture, and other unique features starting in April 2017. This renovation will create well appointed, executive-style multipurpose meeting rooms for the university community and will see UC430 & UC431 combined into one larger meeting room.
