Hear From Out of Province Students

Guelph is a really engaging, fun, and high-ranking university! You will join a very open and inclusive community here, and the professors are very supportive and kind.

Coming to the University of Guelph was one of the best things I have done. I have met people that I’m going to be friends with for the rest of my life and had amazing opportunities along with it.

I chose the University of Guelph because it felt like a community. You are more than a number here and you truly feel that you a part of something. I moved to Ontario from BC to experience what it was like to be by myself in a new place where I didn’t know anyone, and it was so incredibly worth it.

After talking to teachers, university counsellors, my parents, and numerous university students, I decided that the University of Guelph was the best school for me. The courses, location, athletics, opportunities, and friendly environment were critical in my decision, and the University of Guelph fulfilled all of these needs.

When finalizing my university decisions, Guelph had the best outlook for me personally. I loved being in a smaller town than a huge city, and the community is super welcoming.
