Crossways in Cultural Narratives MA

SOLAL brings the world to our doorstep!

Congratulations are in order to the School of Languages and Literatures at the College of Arts. The European Erasmus Mundus agency has renewed its support for the Crossways in Cultural Narratives Master’s degree. This unique, international MA program enables students to build a pathway of study that includes at least a semester each at three Universities of their choice among the partner institutions.  The 3.04 million euro renewal, which runs from 2018 to 2024, includes funding for student scholarships, as well as support to facilitate research and teaching collaborations – funding travel by visiting scholars from the partner universities and teleconferencing initiatives. Margot Irvine, Acting Director of SOLAL says, “The Crossways students are phenomenal, multilingual, hugely engaged in their studies and excited to learn about the Canadian community.” While Crossways students are based in SOLAL, they participate in Guelph life and take courses across the College of Arts. The renewal of the partnership strengthens the international ties of the School, the College, and the University of Guelph, promotes Canadian arts and culture abroad, and brings the world to our doorstep. The renewal reflects the excellence of Crossways consortium, SOLAL as a partner, and the University of Guelph as a welcoming home base to students from all over Europe.
