The Digital Haptic Lab, run by sculptor Prof. Christian Giroux and Senior Design Engineer John Phillips, School of Fine Art and Music, is a space for researchers from the arts, engineering and sciences to come together and cross-pollinate ideas Equipped with a 3-D printer, a water jet cutter that can slice through steel and a digital haptic device (a virtual sculpting tool that allows users to develop unique 3-D designs on a computer), the lab allows users to develop products using modern advanced manufacturing methods..

LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
The University of Guelph resides on the land of the Between the Lakes Treaty No. 3, the territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit. This land is part of the Dish with One Spoon, a covenant between Indigenous nations to live peaceably on the territories of the Great Lakes region.
