Transfer
Transfer allows you to transfer a call to another extension or the operator.
- Press Transfer
- Dial the extension number
- Announce the caller
- Hang up
Hold
Hold allows you to temporarily hang up a line, either to take a call on another line or to attend to another matter without disconnecting your caller.
- Press Hold
- Hang up
To reconnect:
- Press the line button where you placed the call on hold
- Pick up receiver
Call Pick-Up
Call pick up allows you to answer a call to another extension as long as you know the other extension's number.
- Get dial tone
- Press Pick or *3
- Dial the number of the ringing extension
Group Pick-Up
Group pick-up allows you to pick up a call to an extension in your pick-up group. You do not need to enter the ringing extension.
- Get dial tone
- Press Pick two times or **3
Save and Repeat
Save and repeat allows you to save a number you previously dialled so you can redial the number later by simply pressing the save/repeat button.
To save an extension or outside number:
- Get dial tone
- Dial 9 and the outside number or dial the extension number
- Press SVRPT (save/repeat)
- Hang up
To call your saved number:
- Get dial tone
- Press SVRPT (save/repeat)
Call Forwarding
Call forwarding allows you to forward your calls to another extension.
To set up call forwarding:
- Get dial tone
- Press Forward or #91
- Dial the extension number
- Hang up
To cancel call forwarding:
- Get dial tone
- Press Forward or ##91
- Hang up
Conference Call
Conference call allows up to eight parties in a conversation. Call the first person, and then use the steps below to add each new party.
- Press Transfer
- Dial the next extension number or dial 9 and the outside number
- Press Conf or Transfer * 4 to connect each party
To reconnect with the conference call if the call is refused, busy, or isn't answered press Clear.
Repertory Dialling
Repertory dialling allows you to program a repdial button to automatically dial a number, to perform a feature, or to create a sequence combining autodialling features. For example, one repdial button could be used to forward your phone to a specified extension. Note: This feature is only available on HiCom 240 and 400 models. To set up or change a repdial button to perform a command sequence:
- Press Prog (program)
- Press the desired Repdial button
- Key in digits and feature buttons (or access codes) for desired sequence. Note: to enter a delay to allow time for processing, press Hold
- Press Prog (program)
To make a repdial call:
- Press the desired Repdial button
or - Select Line button
- Press the desired Repdial button
Clear
If you key in an incorrect sequence or extension, press Clear to erase it and start again.
