Dr. Tamara Berman has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families.  At the CPS, her role is to coordinate client services. She also provides supervision to PhD and Master’s-level students working in the Centre.  Her interests include attachment-focused and emotion-focused therapy.

Ms. Eileen Gross is a Registered Psychological Associate and Clinical Supervisor who has over twenty-five years experience in the field of child and adolescent assessment. She combines her background in Psychology and Special Education in her work with individuals with behavioural challenges. Over the years, Eileen has developed expertise in making the results of the assessment and recommendations most meaningful through working collaboratively with families and schools.

Dr. Elissa Newby-Clark is an Assistant Professor and Clinical Supervisor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Guelph. Dr. Newby-Clark has over fifteen years' experience supervising Masters and PhD students in assessment and consultation. Dr. Newby-Clark works with preschool and school-aged children, adolescents, and their families. She has a particular interest in working with families concerned about Learning Disabilities, Attention Deficit Disorder, Intellectual Disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder. Her work emphasizes communication and collaboration among families, school staff, and other community supports.


Gregory R. Simpson

Dr. Gregory Simpson is a Registered Psychologist who has recently moved from the University of Miami, where for the last 10 years he has been training and working in child and family clinical psychology. In that time Dr. Simpson has been providing both assessment and intervention, conducting both psychological and psycho-educational evaluations, and working with children, adolescents and families dealing with both internalizing and externalizing issues. Most recently, his efforts have focused on working with younger children with behavioural and/or attachment concerns and their parents using Parent-Child Interaction Therapy, using CBT-based intervention with children and adolescents struggling with mood issues, and helping adolescents navigate social and adjustment concerns. Dr. Simpson is excited to be working with families and professionals providing assessment and intervention services in the local community.
