Engineering Peer Helpers

The Engineering Peer Helpers are experienced Engineering students who are here to help you.

We offer study groups to help you grasp core course concepts and to help you develop your study skills. We provide resources to give you advice and ideas on how to handle engineering classes, manage a busy course load, and make the most of your study time. We also offer workshops, and you may even see us drop by one of your classes.

About Us

Headshot of Samantha Dekart.
Hello! My name is Samantha Dekart, but I prefer to just go by Sam. I'm in my fifth year at Guelph studying Biological Engineering Co-op. I'm also pursuing a minor in Food Engineering because through my co-op placements, I discovered that I find food science and industrial food processing fascinating. My favourite course is bioreactor design. I enjoy understanding, improving, and designing processes involving biological materials to make valuable products. Outside of school, I enjoy running, playing intramural volleyball, traveling, and spending time with friends. I'm eager to meet you all and to help you succeed this semester!
